Our Egypt trip is so incredible and I’m getting so excited! This video that I made a few years ago tells you almost all the reasons why our trip is so special – but now there’s one more (see below).
The newest edition of our trip now includes the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) which will have its grand opening on September 30, just in time for our two trips! It’s going to be absolutely spectacular. I’ve been watching it being built over the past 10 years and it’s huge!
We’ll see treasures I’ve never seen before, even though I’ve been to Egypt 22 times! Including all of the treasures of King Tut’s tomb. Up until now, they’ve only displayed about half of everything they found in his tomb. It will be amazing!
We are going to spend an entire day at the GEM drinking it all in – and I can’t wait!
Just seeing all the treasures will give you such an appreciation and understanding of the depth of ancient Egyptian civilization. They were building, carving, and painting these amazing treasures for thousands and thousands of years. We’re so lucky to be able to see all this and to appreciate their knowledge and artistry even more than we already do.
